Chemical peels do not have to be the flaking skin peeling off of the face with red splotches causing you to hide for up to 2 weeks due to embarrassment. The professional peels that Oasis use, gently sloughs off dead skin cell revealing the healthy, beautiful skin that begins at the lower level.

Hyperpigmentation, a discoloration and uneveness of the of the skin's tone, is often caused by inflammation, hormonal change or heredity. Inflammation leading to hyperpigmentation can come from prolonged sun exposure, tanning beds, acne, lighteners, through the use of lasers or other injuries to the skin. Hormonally-induced hyperpigmentation appears most often during pregnancy but can occur with any fluctuation in hormones, such as puberty, the use of birth control pills, menopause and hormone replacement therapy (HRT).

Treatment of uneven skin tones can not be done in a single peel treatment and with one product. If one is serious about changing the tone, texture and appearance of the skin, then adhering to the MD or Esthetician's recommendations must be done. This could include one chemical peel treatment every 4-5 weeks, using the travel size 5 piece Post Procedure Solution Kit after your treatments in order to heal quickly. This protocol restores skin's health, protects, speeds healing and provides comfort if any irritation does occur, which is normal as well as wearing an SPF above 15.

PCA SKIN treatments and products are available exclusively through physicians and licensed professionals, certified by participating in a required 8 hour training class from PCA Skin on proper assessment, product knowledge, customization and application of chemical peel manufactured by PCA Skin research and development team.

These superficial peels will result in little to no downtime. Treatments may include slight redness, tightness, peeling, flaking and/or temporary dryness. Most clients find it unnecessary to apply makeup, as your skin will be smooth, dewy and radiant following your treatment. If you would like to apply makeup, allow approximately 15 minutes for the pH of the skin to stabilize before applying foundation.
